Claritas’ 2020 Telecom Market Report seeks to identify the strategic opportunities that telecom organizations should consider, including what audience characteristics or trends could impact market activities, and key actions to take to stay ahead of the competition and gain market share.

This report dives deep into Mobile, Internet and TV provider preferences by age, race and income. It also includes switching behaviors and features findings such as:

  • Black Americans are 23% more likely and Hispanics are 7% more likely to have a prepaid cell phone plan.
  • Black Americans are 36% and Hispanics are 37% more likely to have switched to a new cell phone plan in the past year.
  • Hispanics who switched to T-Mobile were 41% more likely to have switched from AT&T and Hispanics who switched to Metro by T-Mobile were 78% more likely to have switched from Boost Mobile.
  • When we look at TV providers switched from in the past year, we see that Black respondents were most likely to have switched from Comcast/XFINITY and Mediacom. Hispanic respondents were most likely to have switched from DISH, Suddenlink, Cable ONE and Optimum.
